After the difficult tour to England, it will be time for the Men in Blue to visit Australia. India vs Australia 2011 will begin from December 26, 2011. This bilateral contest will be hosted by Australia, as per the cricket fixture prepared by the International Cricket Council (ICC). India will be battling the Aussies on their home ground after a gap of almost 2 years, and it will not be an easy task. India is the current world number 1 team in the Test format. India tour of Australia 2011 will feature a Test series, followed by a couple of T20 encounters during the period of December 2011 to February 2012. The 1st Test, or as it is colloquially called the Boxing Day Test Match, will be played at the legendary Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, on the December 26, 2011. This marks the initiation of the Australia vs India 2011 Test Series. The second Test match will be played at Sydney’s SCG, from January 3, 2012, while the 3rd Test will be hosted at Perth, which is one of the fastest grounds in the world from January 13, 2012. The last Test match will be played at Adelaide, on January 24.
The 4 Match Test Series is expected to be high on drama and cricketing action. After the completion of the Test Series, both teams will face off in the shortest format of the game – Twenty20. There will be two T20 International matches. The first one will be played at Sydney on February 1, 2012, while the second match will take place in Melbourne, on February 3.
